The first photos of the new 2015 BMW X6 have been leaked onto the internet. This initial batch of six photos shows us how the second generation of the car that pioneered the entire 'Coupe SUV' segment looks like.
The new X6 has a very muscular stance, and shares that 'pontoon'-like design over the rear fender that debuted on its smaller brother, the BMW X4. Like the last generation car, the X6 is based on the more conventionally-shaped X5, and should share powertrain and drivetrain options with the X5, which means we'll see variants like the xDrive35i, xDrive50i and xDrive30d. But will we see an X6 eDrive though?
The interior is lifted straight out of the X6, though there'll likely be different trim options. The shot of the rear bench in this leaked photo set shows a three-seater bench, but we think there'll be a two-seater option for the rear bench as well.
The X5 and X6 interiors are also differentiated by extra thigh support flanking the gear lever and iDrive controls on the X6, which was also the case with the previous generation cars.
