Citroen-C4-Grand-Picasso-JPJ-0004

This red Citroen C4 Grand Picasso was sighted at JPJ Putrajaya by our regular JPJ spymen ApexKit and Anol Alias today. Malaysian Citroen distributor Naza Euro Motors told us in February that the French MPV would be coming to Malaysia by the end of the year, so it's about time that it's seen at JPJ.

The C4 Grand Picasso would be the first non-DS Citroen car to be launched in Malaysia since Naza Euro Motors took over the Citroen distributorship. The curious thing about this particular Citroen C4 Grand Picasso is the badging on the rear. It's got a BlueHDi badge, which points to a 2.0 litre turbodiesel engine under the hood, producing 148 horsepower and 370 Nm of torque.

Could Naza Euro Motors looking to being a turbodiesel version of this MPV in as one of the variants on offer? We don't really know as we've seen all kinds of diesel Peugeots at JPJ Putrajaya before but none of them (other than the diesel 508) have been launched by Naza Euro Motors' sister company Nasim Sdn Bhd.

It's got quite a unique look - where MPVs of this size are usually big slabs of metal with some design at the front and the rear to keep the car recognisable as belonging to a certain marque, Citroen has put a lot of effort into the C4 Grand Picasso's styling, making it somewhat of a designer MPV.

The seven-seater has seats in a two-three-two configuration, and sits on a platform with a 2,840mm wheelbase. This happens to be a segment longer than the Peugeot 5008's 2,727 mm wheelbase, so we're wagering on a price tag that could be a little higher as well.
