2015 Mercedes-Benz CLA 200

This just in - Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) has issued a recall for several units of its CLA-Class over a potential flaw involving the improper installation of several fuses located within the front passenger side fuse box. A statement issued by MBM points out that over a prolonged period, the electrical contact between fuses might be disrupted due to vibrations.

As such, the flaw might affect the operation of several comfort features including the sunroof and the auxiliary heating unit. However, according to Australia automotive portal, CarAdvice, the same recall issued recently in the country states that said flaw could result in improper deployment of the airbags.

The recall affects a total of 64 units in Australia - comprised of A-Class and B-Class models - built between September 8 and November 7 2014. Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has confirmed that all units of the A-Class sold here remain unaffected by the issue.
