This BMW M5 "30 Jahre M5" is limited too 300 units and was created to celebrate 30 years of the BMW M5. It so happens to be the most powerful BMW M5 ever, with its 4.4 litre twin turbo V8 producing 600 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque, more than the M5's 560 hp and M5 with Competition Package's 575 hp. The power upgrades were achieved via engine management tweaks as well as an increase in boost pressure from the turbos.

The 30 Jahre M5 was built on the Competition Package, which other than the increased power output, comprises of a revised chassis set-up with firmer spring/damper tuning and a 10-millimetre drop in ride height. The Active M Differential on the final drive gains its own control unit to further improve traction. The M Servotronic steering has a more direct mapping. Finally, the M Dynamic Mode of the DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) system also gets sportier settings.

The paintjob on the car is called Frozen Dark Silver metallic, which is a BMW Individual colour. Other special touches include black chrome finish for the kidney grille surround, gills with "30 Jahre M5" badge on the front wing, door handle inserts and twin exhaust tailpipes. The same black chrome finish is applied to the 20-inch bi-colour M light-alloy wheels with mixed tyres (front -? 265/35ZR20, rear - 295/30ZR20).

In the interior, the driver and front passenger will be greeted by "30 Jahre M5" lettering on the front door sill finishers, while a plaque bearing "30 Jahre M5" and the serial number of the 300-unit global production run is integrated into the Aluminium Trace trim strip on the front passenger side of the cabin. The "30 Jahre M5" logo is also embroidered into the backrests of all four of the high-performance sedan's seats.
