The new Lexus NX SUV will be launched in January 2015, it has been confirmed. That's next month, in case you've somehow missed all the Christmas decorations around town. January 29 is the date to remember, as revealed by Lexus Malaysia's official Facebook page.
To those interested in buying Japan's answer to the BMW X3 and Audi Q5, you'd already know that a total of five variants will be offered in our market. Estimated prices start from RM300,000 for the base 2.0 litre turbo model, rising up to RM390,200 for the range-topping hybrid variant.

The prices put the NX squarely against the X3 (RM329-349k) and Q5 (RM328k). A complete list of specs and equipment for the available 200t, 200t Premium, 200t Luxury, 200t F Sport and 300h has been released too, as you can see above.
The Lexus NX is a breath of fresh air for a brand that, CT 200h apart, has been selling cars with big naturally-aspirated engines. Armed with a 2.0 turbo, it looks to have the tool it needs to properly challenge the Germans. Can it really, though? Find out in our full in-depth review of the Lexus NX 200t.
