Additional sketches of the third-gen Skoda Superb have been made available with the finished article due for a global debut at the upcoming 2015 Geneva motor show. According to the company, the new Superb is set to rejuvenate the brand's name among enthusiasts and will feature cues from the Skoda Vision C concept.
The new Superb will be built on the new MQB platform - just like its Passat stablemate - and will once again be aimed at the upper echelon of its class. In terms of powertrains, nothing solid has been confirmed but do expect the Superb to feature similar engines to the B8 Volkswagen Passat.
Despite sharing a platform, the Superb is expected to trump the Passat in terms of interior space. The third-gem Superb is said to feature a 80 mm advantage in terms of wheelbase length over its predecessor with the car being 20 mm longer, 50 mm wider and roughly 75 kg lighter than before.
Prior to its unveiling at the 2015 Geneva show, the new Skoda Superb is due for an appearance in Prague in the middle of February next year. Following its scheduled exhibition dates, the car is expected to hit the market by the second quarter of 2015.
