After a 15-year absence in the Malaysian market, Jeep has once again landed in Malaysia with its first 3S centre located in the ever-expanding automotive hub in Glenmarie, Shah Alam. Opting for a full-on assault on the local market, Jeep Malaysia has launched a total of four models - eight variants in total - in one go.

Naturally, the trademark Jeep Wrangler is to be found. Accompanying the Wrangler's foray into the local market are the Jeep Cherokee, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Jeep Compass. With an array of models on sale, Jeep Malaysia has invested quite a fair bit on making sure that its after sales service are as robust as its cars.

The Jeep 3S - sales, after-sales and spare parts - centre is located along Jalan Pelukis in Glenmarie and is established as a 'single roof' facility to cater to the needs of the Jeep customers. Open seven days a week, it boasts a total of eight service bays along with a customer lounge equipped with WiFi connectivity.

Fans of Jeep up north and down south need not worry, either. In 2015, Jeep Malaysia plans to expand on its network of dealers and service centres to include one more in the Klang Valley, Johor and Penang. Building on their aggressive expansion, two more dealers are in the pipeline for Sabah and Sarawak.

During the press conference, it was also announced that the Jeep Renegade could make its local debut as soon as late 2015 or early 2016. No surprise there as Jeep Malaysia has received three bookings prior to the launch itself - not bad for a company that's relatively low-key in Malaysia.

To further sweeten the ownership experience for potential clients, Jeep Malaysia is also introducing a special 2+2+2 package for anyone who puts an order down before December 2014. Benefits include free road tax and insurance for two years and a special 2.0% interest rate on the entire range.
