The Infiniti Q50S Hybrid has quietly cropped up on Infiniti Malaysia's website, with a list of standard equipment and an estimated price of RM400,000.
The Hybrid adds a few extra accoutrements to the already comprehensive equipment of its 2.0t Standard and Premium siblings. Exterior additions include the S-specific front fascia and 19-inch wheels, while the interior gets such niceties as a 12-way power-adjustable driver's seat with lumbar and torso support, aluminium pedals, solid magnesium steering wheel paddles and an Around View Monitor.
Powering the Q50S Hybrid is a 298 hp, 338 Nm 3.5 litre Atkinson-cycle V6 mated to a 62 hp, 270 Nm electric motor, a lithium-ion battery and a seven-speed automatic transmission with Adaptive Shift Control. Total system output is 364 hp and 546 Nm, enough for the car to go from 0-100 km/h in 5.1 seconds on its way to an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.
Under the skin, the Hybrid gets the newfangled steer-by-wire Direct Adaptive Steering system and a sport-tuned suspension, as well as a host of driver assist systems including Blind Spot Intervention, Lane Departure Prevention, Back-up Collision Intervention, Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Forward Emergency Braking, Intelligent Cruise Control and Active Lane Control.
