It was a case of Mother Nature doing its thing, as the '991.2' 2016 Porsche 911 facelift was inadvertently revealed during windy conditions out in front of the company's museum in Stuttgart, Germany. The sculpture is being featured along with two other 911 models, a 1970 and 1981 model. According to Shmee150, a Facebook community page, the company had started work on the sculpture over the weekend.

Then on Monday, strong winds blew the cover of the new 911, and it appears to be a Carrera S model. Then again, with the recently released spyshots of several key models of the 991.2 generation undergoing testing, there isn't anything new to add, really.

Just to recap, the facelifted Porsche 911 will get a mildly revised headlight assembly that features remodelled air intakes. The LED daytime running lights are also different, as are the rear apron designs, with some models having dual, centrally-mounted exhaust outlets, while the Turbo and and Cabriolet versions will stick with the quad-exhaust setup.

The slightly revised taillights and new air vents at the lower, outer ends of the rear bumper signify the arrival of a turbocharged engine - a powerful 3.0 litre flat-six engine that will churn out 364 hp for the base Carerra and a possible 414 hp for the Carrera S, while torque figures could be around the 500 Nm region.
