Here's something that's bound to stand out - the Volkswagen Beetle Club Edition has been previewed at the Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week to mark the brand's inaugural collaboration with said event. Firstly, there are no mechanical changes whatsoever, the Beetle Club Edition is merely a cosmetic exercise.
Also, the Volkswagen Beetle Club Edition does not take after the concept adopted by the Jetta Club Edition - this one is slightly more comprehensive compared to the Jetta, which eschews exterior upgrades altogether. First off, the Beetle Club Edition gets painted in a bright hue known as Habanero Orange Metallic.
Aside from that, its side mirrors are now finished in black while 17-inch Sterling Silver 'Ravenna' alloy wheels, wrapped in 215/55 Continental tyres, are to be found. Accompanying the new wheels are custom 'Club' decals that run in parallel to the side skirts.
Under the bonnet, the Volkswagen Beetle Club Edition retains the same turbocharged 1.2 litre TSI four-cylinder engine with 105 PS and 175 Nm of torque. Said mill is mated to a seven-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission. Stepping inside reveals a black interior, offset with 'Calypso Orange' accents and stitching.

Other changes include a 'Twist Wave Dark' cubic film applied over the dash and centre console to provide a faux carbon-inspired look while the multifunction steering wheel itself features a 'Club' insignia on the bottom spoke. A touchscreen head unit with Composition Media system is featured.
Prices for the Volkswagen Beetle Club Edition remain undisclosed for now but what we can tell you is that it is limited to only 50 units. The last limited-run Beetle (200 units), dubbed the Bug Edition, was priced at RM146,888 - don't expect the Club to stray far from the RM150k mark, then.
