The 2014 Honda City received 10,000 bookings within a month from its official launch on March 20, surpassing the previous record of 3,000 bookings within a month for the CR-V.
Honda Malaysia says it will be able to complete delivery for all 10,000 bookings by end-June, thanks to the new No. 2 Line in Pegoh, which has doubled production capacity and enabled flexible production scheduling to speed up production and shorten waiting time.
In addition, sales are up 30% in Q1 2014 over the same period last year. Honda Malaysia aims to sell 76,000 units this year.
