Well, looks like the BMW X4 isn't the only car from Munich coming soon – reader Sean Leong sent us pictures of the new facelifted (or LCI in BMW-speak) F25 BMW X3 on home soil, indicating that a local introduction is imminent. The refreshed baby Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) was unveiled to the world exactly a month before its "coupe" sibling, so could BMW Malaysia be in fact planning a double launch?

The front has been reprofiled with new headlights (LED items are optional, but the car seen in these pictures doesn't have them) that now flow into the bolder, more three-dimensional kidney grilles, as well as a new fascia. The remaining exterior changes include new wing mirror indicators, alloy wheel designs and rear bumper. New interior materials, switchgear and instruments make up the bulk of interior updates.

Over here, the current X3 is available in xDrive20i and xDrive20d guises (the latter gets a boost of 8 horsepower and 20 Nm to 190 hp and 400 Nm with the LCI), both locally assembled at RM323,800 and RM348,800 respectively. So, will this come in time to mount your newly-minted "BMW" number plates?
