With plenty of activity in the pick-up truck segment this year - a new Navara launched, a new Triton coming soon, and even word of a new Hilux on the horizon, the Ford Ranger has now been spotted with a mid-life facelift. Since the current-generation Ranger made its debut in Q4 2010, it's about due for a refresh now.
From the disguise on the truck in these spyshots, we can see that Ford will be giving the Ranger a new front end. One logical way to go about it would be to give the Ranger facelift the front end of the Ford Everest Concept shown earlier this year at Bangkok 2014. That way the Ranger facelift and the new Everest would be brought in line with a common look, as it usually is with these pickup-based SUVs.
Our spies have also sighted the new Ford Everest on test, and from what we see the general look of the production seven-seater pickup-based SUV is similiar to the concept version.
With about half of 2014 gone now, we're expecting these two new Fords to hit showrooms sometime in 2015. Ford has confirmed that the Ford Everest will be built in Thailand for global markets, now that Ford will be shutting down its Australian plants.
