Edaran Tan Chong Motor (ETCM) officially opened its first 3S centre in Kuching, Sarawak yesterday. Doing the honours were Datuk James Chan Khay Syn, mayor of Kuching City South, and Datuk David Chen, executive director of ETCM.
Located at Jalan Sungai Priok, off Jalan Pending, the new facility sits on an area of 1.58 acres, with a total floor area of 42,000 sq ft. In it is a showroom that can display up to eight vehicles, a lounge and refreshment bar with WiFi, a Kid's Corner and 23 service bays with the capacity to serve up to 130 cars per day.
"In 2013, ETCM sold around 5,000 units of Nissan vehicles in East Malaysia, of which more than half were from Sarawak, with a growth of more than 20% from 2012. As our product line-up continue to grow and improve, it is important that we strengthen our after-sales support for our customers," Chen said.
To date, ETCM has a nationwide network of 106 showrooms including dealers, and 59 Tan Chong Express Auto Service Workshops. More 3S centres are planned for this year, including one in Tawau, Sabah and in Glenmarie, Shah Alam.
