1 V12 Vantage S Roadster1

Aston Martin will be debuting its 2015 V12 Vantage S Roadster at the Pebble Beach Automotive Week next week. The open-top follows on the V12 Vantage S Coupe that premiered in May last year.

The Vantage S Roadster is powered by the same AM28 6.0 litre quad cam V12 as found on the Coupe, with 565 hp at 6,750 rpm and 620 Nm at 5,750 rpm. Performance-wise, it does the 0-100 km/h sprint in 3.9 seconds, identical to the hard top, but has a marginally slower top speed of 323 km/h to the Coupe's 328 km/h.

Like the Coupe, the Roadster will feature a rear, mid-mounted Sportshift III seven-speed automated manual transmission with an electronic shift-by-wire control system. Also on, the three-stage adaptive damping seen on the hard top.

The Vantage S Roadster is due to make its market debut later this year, and when it arrives on the scene will have the honour of being tagged the brand's fastest and fastest-accelerating series production roadster to date.
