A new photo of the upcoming Infiniti Q30 has been revealed on car's UK campaign website ahead of its Frankfurt Motor Show debut in September, showing the new high-riding premium hatch at a slightly different angle than before.
Not much that we haven't seen – we already pretty much know what the entire car looks like from the outside, thanks to the rear shot of an undisguised car seen recently – but you do get a better sense of proportion from here; it certainly looks longer previous images would lead you to believe. We also see a new five-split-spoke wheel design, and the car appears to sit lower here as well.
To be built at Nissan's British plant in Sunderland, the Q30 will be based on Mercedes-Benz' Modular Front Architecture (MFA) shared with the A-, B-, CLA- and GLA-Class, as part of a collaboration with Daimler. It will also make use of Mercedes' engines and transmissions – the 2.2d badge seen here could refer to the OM651 2.2 litre turbodiesel used on its Tristar siblings.
Already featuring a somewhat crossover-esque design – which Infiniti says will appeal to Gen X and Y customers – the Q30 will be followed, somewhat perplexingly, by a proper QX30 crossover soon after.
