This is our third set of local spyshots of the upcoming 2014 Nissan Teana - the J33 was first sighted in Melaka as early as May 2013, covered in black tape, then with minimal disguise near Sungai Choh only last month.

Today's spyshots, kindly contributed by reader AVH, show the D-segment sedan's LED tail lamps and twin tailpipes. This particular car appears to be riding on the same five-twin spoke 215/60 R16 alloys fitted to the car we test-drove in California, as well as the car we spotted in Sungai Choh.

The car that was sighted in Melaka actually wore 215/55 R17 alloys - that was a long time ago though; was that a higher-spec car or simply an evaluation mule?

Like our current blind spot monitoring-equipped J32 Teana, the car pictured here has a black interior, according to AVH. The alternative is cream, as seen in the Chinese-market long-wheelbase J33 Teana VIP and the L33 Altima we saw in Seoul last year.

Tan Chong recently confirmed five new Nissan models for this year, and the Teana is set to be one of them. You should be able to choose between a 136 hp/190 Nm 2.0 litre MR20DE and a 173 hp/234 Nm 2.5 litre QR25DE - both four-cylinder engines are mated to a CVT. Yup, no more V6.
