BMW X4 Spyshots-03

Here's the upcoming BMW X4 undergoing winter testing in Europe. The X4, a coupe X3 (or baby X6), made its world debut in concept form at last year's Shanghai Auto Show, where paultan.org's Harvinder Singh hosted for BMW AG. Back then, we figured that the concept was largely production-ready, and these latest spyshots - the most revealing yet - support the notion.

A previous set of X4 spyshots showed us the crossover's dashboard, which is similar to the X3's. No surprise there, since the X6 and X5 cabins are shared as well. We've also seen how the X4 compares in size to the conventional SUV shaped X3.

We're guessing that the production X4 will debut in 35i and 28i forms, with turbocharged 3.0 and 2.0 litre engines for the petrol side, plus a turbodiesel 20d of course. It could be revealed later this year before a motor show debut at Paris, filling another niche in Munich's ever-growing range.
