You're looking at the Brabus Rocket 900 – a super-powered W222 Mercedes-Benz S-Class with a 900 hp 6.3 litre twin-turbo V12 engine. Torque? A full 1,500 Nm, though it's limited to 'just' 1,200 Nm here. Brabus doesn't kid around with names. This is a rocket.
It's based on the S 65 AMG model, but with the 'standard' 630 hp 6.0 litre V12 engine stroked and fettled to make those incredible numbers above. The Brabus gets to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and to 200 km/h in 9.2 seconds, on to a top speed "in excess" of 350 km/h.
There's a Brabus limited-slip diff in tow too, along with a Brabus Airmatic Sport suspension system that is 15 mm lower than the S 65 AMG reference. The tuning company claims to have managed to lower the ride height without "compromising the outstanding ride quality."
The exhaust system in use here is a stainless steel unit with free-flow metal catalysts and an actively-controlled butterfly valve. The latter allows the driver to choose between full bore V12 note or a subtler "Coming Home" mode.
There's nothing subtle about its looks, though. It's the maddest looking one yet, with added carbon-fibre flics and drama compared to previous Brabus-tuned W222 models. The wheels are special Brabus forged "Platinum Edition" items that measure between 21- or 22-inches, depending on how OTT you want it to look.
Inside, customers can specify the full Brabus iBusiness multimedia package that includes various Apple products such as the iPad mini and iPod Touch. Other than the bespoke two-tone interior, the iBusiness package has a custom centre console between the rear seats that hold the iPad in place.
From there, the tablet can be used to operate the on-board Comand system, while being connected to a Mac Mini that serves as the system 'mainframe'. The host computer is housed in an electrically-operated custom-designed drawer in the boot, and a top-mounted 15.6-inch screen serves as the central computer monitor.
