The Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism ministry (KPDNKK) has announced that fuel prices will remain the same for April 2015 - RON 95 petrol will continue to be priced at RM1.95 a litre, RON 97 petrol at RM2.25 a litre and diesel at RM1.95 a litre.
However, a KPDNKK spokesperson has told Bernama that RON 97 petrol will be subject to a 6% GST from tomorrow, which effectively raises its price to RM2.385 a litre. This should be translated into a round figure - we will confirm soon if it rounds up to RM2.39 or down to RM2.38.
