Renault's current D-segment offerings of the Laguna and the Latitude will be combined to a single global model with the next generation. We've already started to see the new big Renault on test, and French media are reporting that it could see a debut on July 6.
The new global Renault Laguna (name unconfirmed) will be built on Nissan's new Common Module Family (CMF) platform, and word is that the coupe model has been dropped because of low sales. It has an uphill task ahead of it, going against pretty competent rivals like the new Passat and Mondeo.
Regular contributor Theophilus Chin rendered the lead image based on spy photos of the new Laguna that we've seen so far. The new Renault face shared with models like the Clio, Captur, Espace and Kadjar can be clearly seen through the camo.
