What you see here is the Koenigsegg One:1, an ambitious take on a Bugatti Veyron rival from the Swedish supercar-maker. It's named as such to reflect its stunning power to weight ratio of 1 hp to 1 kg. At 1,340 kg, the Agera-based hypercar is not exactly a lightweight, but it does have 1,340 hp at its disposal.
The Bugatti Veyron Super Sport has, in comparison, just 1,200 hp to move its considerably heftier kerb weight of 1,838 kg. No surprise then, that Koenigsegg is aiming to shatter the ultimate Veyron's record-breaking top speed of 431 km/h.
Not much else is available other than the sole picture above, though rumours are that the One:1 can generate up to 600 kg of downforce through that massive rear wing, and carry through more than 2G of lateral grip in corners. It's not all about straight-line speed, it seems.
The Koenigsegg One:1 is expected to be unveiled in full in next month's 2014 Geneva Motor Show, so stay tuned. Malaysia, meanwhile, is still awaiting the milder 1,030 hp/1,415 kg Koenigsegg Agera S at a reported RM 4.3 million a pop through the new official distributor Naza Swedish Motors.
