Fiat's deal to source a pick-up truck from Mitsubishi apparently isn't limited to the production model - it has essentially "rebadged" the Mitsubishi GR-HEV Concept as the Fiat Concept Car 4, set to debut at the Sao Paulo Motor Show in Brazil.
The similiarities to the GR-HEV Concept which previews the next generation Mitsubishi Triton are uncanny. Fiat has change the tail end a bit - the pick-up bed is covered and there's a sloping rear windscreen to give it a more coupe-like appearance.
Fiat and Mitsubishi officially announced an MoU to develop a mid-sized pick-up truck in September this year. This concept car is probably a preview of the final product, which is a Fiat-badged Triton to be sold by the Fiat Professional commercial vehicle arm.
This is not the first time Fiat has tried to roll out a mid-sized pickup truck. Previous efforts involved building a truck on the Tata Xenon platform and later the Dodge/Ram Dakota, but those projects did not work out.
