These are the first photos and details of the new McLaren 625C, which was specially developed for the Asian market. It will launch in Hong Kongg first, with other markets across the Asia Pacific region to be announced in the coming months.
McLaren says the 625C shares the looks of the 650S, but with a focus on day to day usability and comfort. The "C" in the name stands for "Club". Driving dynamics and ride quality have been improved thanks to tweaks to the ProActive Chassis Control and the suspension hardware.
An example of what has been tweaked is it has a less stiff spring rate at the rear. The 625C is claimed to have the most refined ride of any McLaren model to date.
As hinted by its name, power output is 625 PS at 7,250 rpm, with 610 Nm of torque from 3,000-7,000 rpm, down from 650 PS and 678 Nm in the 660S. The 100 km/h sprint is done in 3.1 seconds, while 200 km/h is reached in 8.8 seconds for the Coupe and 9.0 seconds for the Spider convertible.
