You may remember that last month, Proton's design studio released a teaser video of the new Proton Iriz ahead of its launch. Well, now that the car has been unveiled in its entirety, a full-length version of the said video has also been released, describing the work of Proton Design.

The video features the various heads of styling – including chief designer Azlan Othman – who explain the design process behind every Proton, going through the steps from trend analysis, ideation, computer-aided styling (CAS), colour and trim and finally to clay and hard model making.

We managed to interview Azlan himself regarding the styling of the new Iriz, where he mentioned that the car was benchmarked against the Ford Fiesta and the VW Polo – the latter in particular in terms of perceived quality.
