The Infiniti QX30 concept is set to have its long-awaited debut at the upcoming 2015 Geneva motor show in March. The concept will undoubtedly serve as a preview to the production version, which has already been spotted running around in prototype form late last year.
While not much is known about the production version, the QX30 is aimed squarely at the Mercedes-Benz GLA, BMW X1, and Audi Q3 when it hits the showrooms in the near future. In fact, the production Infiniti QX30 shares quite a fair bit of its underpinnings with the GLA, sharing its MFA platform.
Consequently, one can expect the QX30 to be powered by a range of engines from Mercedes-Benz with the turbocharged, 2.0 litre four-cylinder engine found in the GLA (and Infiniti Q50) likely to kick things off. All-wheel drive is also expected to make an appearance, although it would most likely be a cost option.
Overall aesthetics remain a mystery, however. The solo teaser shot shown here displays nothing much except for the fact that the QX30 concept will feature a rather ostentatious tailgate with LED tail lamps. The inclusion of large exhaust outlets and two-tone body cladding further add to the glitzy "concept car" nature.
