Geneva 2015 will see the debut of the facelifted Bentley Continental GT and Bentley Flying Spur – Crewe's core models get sweeping updates inside and out, as well as under the skin.
First up, the GT – the front end is significantly revised, with a more aggressive air intake arrangement, a smaller grille and more pronounced fenders; the latter features new vents adorned with a metallic "B" element, bringing it in line with the Flying Spur.
The rear receives a more sculpted boot lid, a new, wider bumper and full-width chrome trim, with V8 S and Speed models also gaining a unique rear diffuser to distance them from less sporting models. New 20- and 21-inch wheel designs and three new colours – Marlin (blue), Camel (gold) and Jetstream (light blue) – round off the exterior updates.
Inside, the GT gets a new fluted pattern for the upholstery, and a "small diamond" quilted pattern for the Mulliner Driving Specification (standard on the Speed). There's also a sportier, more ergonomic steering wheel design available as an option, while the paddle shifters are larger and the metal embellishers are knurled for a more tactile feel.
Also new are the dials and graphics in the instrument cluster, a black gear lever surround, updated metal trim elements and LED illumination throughout the cabin. A new hidden compartment between the rear seats on V8 and V8 S models can be used to stow and charge electronic devices, including tablets.
Onboard WiFi is now optional throughout the range, and Shortbread and Camel interior colour schemes join the palette for 2015. Alcantara headlining is also offered on V8 S, W12 and Speed models, with the latter two are also available with softer semi-aniline leather upholstery for the seat cushions and backrests.
The standard W12 model has seen a few upgrades under the bonnet as well – outputs on the 6.0 litre biturbo mill have been bumped up to 590 PS and 720 Nm, 15 PS and 20 Nm more than before.
Variable engine displacement is also featured for the first time, with the engine able to run on six cylinders to boost fuel economy (by up to 5%) and lower carbon dioxide emissions – it now does 14.1 litres per 100 km on a combined cycle and emits 329 grams of CO2 per kilometre.
Moving on, the Flying Spur gets new 20-inch six-spoke wheels for both V8 and W12 models, with the Mulliner model receiving a 21-inch seven-spoke design. Elsewhere, most of the two-door's updates – the new exterior and interior shades, sportier steering wheel, knurled paddle shifters, revamped instruments, WiFi and variable engine displacement for the W12 – are also featured on the sedan.
