The Nissan Pulsar 1.6 DIG-T has premiered at the 2014 Paris motor show - the most powerful production Pulsar to date. The new variant is expected to join the Pulsar range in the second quarter of 2015.
Performance figures for the new 1.6 litre turbocharged engine are as follow, 190 hp at 5,600 rpm and 240 Nm of torque from 1,600 rpm to 5,200 rpm. The powerplant is mated to a six-speed transmission and is tuned for more flexibility at low engine speeds.
In terms of styling, Nissan has designed the Pulsar to stand out slightly from its lesser counterparts with a host of aesthetic upgrades. Two-tone black and silver diamond cut alloys are as available as 17-inch sizes on the Acenta variant while the Tekna trim gets 18-inch wheels of the same design.
A reworked headlamp design with a black finish and a chrome exhaust finish completes the sporty outlook. Inside, an exclusive trim finish and white stitching on the three-spoke steering wheel and leather seats - available only on the Tekna trim, are offered. The sports pedals are now finished with an alloy treatment.
