As we reported earlier, 12 more toll plazas will go fully cashless starting from September 9 onwards, and now we have further confirmation of this fact. According to Bernama, the Ampang Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (AKLEH) will switch to an all-Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) system at the Datuk Keramat Toll Plaza from 12pm in the afternoon on September 9.
This is part of AKLEH's efforts to provide smoother travel for the highway users, according to Projek Lintasan Kota Sdn Bhd (Prolintas), its operator. To encourage the use of the system, several lanes have been converted to full ETC lanes.
For Touch 'n Go users, fret not as you will also be able to reload your cards at any time with the 24-hour reload lane that was introduced from June this year.
