The Citroen DS3 and DS3 Cabrio has been revised for 2014, with changes made to boost the premium B-segment hatchback's showroom appeal even further. The upgrades will be added to production DS3s starting in July.
The top DSport variants will feature new xenon headlights with LED modules and sequential indicators. Inspired by the Numero 9 and Wild Rubis concepts, they use 35% less energy on low beam and 75% less on high beam. Selected models will also be available with a laser-etched dashboard panel and screen-printed rear window, which feature the Paris skyline.
A new Pearl White colour choice has been added to both the hatchback and Cabrio, with the latter also getting Belle-Ile Blue. Meanwhile, both bodystyles get new 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels on selected variants, as well as an optional rear-view camera.
Both cars gain a new range of Euro 6-compliant petrol and diesel engines, including a new PureTech 1.2 litre e-VTi 82 three-cylinder petrol mated to a five-speed Efficient Tronic Gearbox (ETG) automated manual, which delivers 24.4 km per litre and produces just 95 grams per kilometre of carbon dioxide.
Also on offer is a new 1.6 litre BlueHDi four-cylinder diesel engine in both 100 PS and 120 PS flavours. The former achieves up to 33.3 km per litre and a carbon dioxide emissions figure of 79 grams per kilometre, while the latter does 27.6 km per litre and 94 grams per kilometre. In addition, the DS3s get a new optional Active City Brake system that operates under 32 km/h.
