You've seen the Mercedes-Benz and last week's BMW, but that's not the last of the Vision Gran Turismo concepts – many more companies will be chipping in with their contributions to the project for Gran Turismo 6 on the PlayStation 3, and Volkswagen is set to be the next.

The company has teased the new video game concept car with a video as well as a website that greatly references the Golf GTI. From the detail images on the site – showing a prominent GTI fender badge as well as large side air intakes aft of the doors – it is very likely a hardcore racing version of last year's Design Vision GTI concept, which made its debut at Wörthersee.

Like the Mercedes-Benz and BMW concepts before it, the Volkswagen is set to appear in GT6 for free through a software update shortly after its unveiling on May 23. Apart from the previous three, other companies committed to the project include Alfa Romeo, Alpine, Aston Martin, Audi, Bertone, GM Design, Honda, Infiniti, Italdesign Giugiaro, Jordan, Nike, Nissan, Peugeot, SRT (Chrysler) and Zagato.
