Kia is on a roll here – in addition to showcasing the new Sorento, the facelifted Rio and the Optima T-Hybrid at the ongoing Paris Motor Show, it has also prepared a facelift for its five-year-old mini-MPV, the Kia Venga.
As with the Rio, changes to the Venga are similarly subtle, limited to a larger "Tiger Nose" grille, a reprofiled front apron with combined fog lights and LED daytime running lights, chrome trim above the rear number plate recess and LED combination tail lights. Completing the look are new wheel designs, which now measure 16 and 17 inches.
Inside, the Venga benefits from darker metallic trim with bright accents, as well as two new seat upholstery options. The centre console is also new and can be specified with Kia's updated audio-visual navigation (AVN) system with a seven-inch touchscreen, a reverse camera, faster processing speed and quicker route calculation. A heated steering wheel is also now available as an optional extra.
The existing 1.4 and 1.6 litre petrol and diesel four pots soldier on, with six outputs in total ranging between 77 and 128 PS. As before, all engines are available with Kia's Intelligent Stop and Go (ISG) system, dropping carbon dioxide emissions to just 114 grams per kilometre for the 1.4 diesel. Transmission options remain the same five- and six-speed manuals and four-speed automatic as before.
