Lambo-Huracan-SV-8

Is a hotter Lamborghini Huracan Superveloce in the works? This question was posed to Lambo boss Stephan Winkelmann at the ASEAN debut of the Aventador LP750-4 SV in Singapore last month. He didn't categorically say 'no' but instead pointed out that the Gallardo, which the Huracan replaces, had a lighter and more hardcore Superleggera variant.

Which could be what Lamborghini is testing here. Looking extra stealthy in black and with Super Trofeo-style stickers to further confuse observers, the test mule sports two extra tail pipes hiding behind an extended panel with two mesh cutouts. Other that that, everything appears to be as per the regular RM2.1 million Huracan LP 610-4, including the wheels and mega brakes, to our eyes at least.

Could it be a race car? Not likely, because it's significantly less aggressive than the Huracan Super Trofeo and Huracan GT3 race cars that are pounding racetracks across the world as we type.

Expect a Lamborghini Huracan Superleggera in the near future, a bull with less weight, more power, lots of carbonfibre and a rear wing. It's the Superveloce formula with a different name.
