Look what we found! We spotted the facelifted Renault Fluence – which is due to be launched tomorrow – running around undisguised near Jaya One, PJ.
Unfortunately, we could not get a photo of the front – where the main changes vis-a-vis the old car are located – but clear to see in this rear shot are the new LED tail lights (which seem to be optional items, as the press pictures of the new car did not have them), as well as a fully body-coloured rear bumper.
Of course, we know what the rest of the changes are – there's a new, heavily restyled front fascia that matches Renault's latest design direction, with a reshaped grille (carrying a bigger Renault diamond badge) and larger, more aggressive lower air intakes.
Renault Malaysia introduced the Fluence in May last year, priced at RM115,000. The figure has since dropped to RM113,888 after GST. The locally-assembled 2.0 litre sedan is one of the better-equipped models in its class, with standard-fit 17-inch wheels, keyless entry, navigation, six airbags and ESP.
Earlier this year, the Fluence Black Edition was announced, which included a full exterior and interior makeover. The price asked is RM118,888, post-GST. We'll have more on the Renault Fluence facelift soon.
