Hot on the heels of the standard A4 sedan and Avant, here's the next-generation B9 Audi S4 out testing. Better yet, our European spies have managed to get pictures of both the sedan and Avant variants of the upcoming high-performance model too.
The next S4 should carry on with the same supercharged 3.0 litre V6 engine, but you can expect it to have more than the current B8's 333 PS and 440 Nm of torque. How close it can get to its fresh new rival, the 362 hp/518 Nm Mercedes-Benz C 450 AMG Sport, remains to be seen.
As usual, the S4 will be pumped up with a set of more aggressive bumpers and wheels compared to the standard models. The latter will, of course, be offered with a similar optional S line styling package (like BMW M Sport and Mercedes AMG Line), but aluminium wing mirror caps and quad exhaust pipes will mark out the S4 proper.
Of course, this won't be the most powerful version of the B9 A4 – that will be the RS4 (likely Avant only, like the current car) that will be coming out in the next few years to tackle the one-rung-up Mercedes-AMG C 63 and BMW M3/M4.
