The new Skoda Superb is due for an unveiling very soon. We've already seen front and rear sketches of the Skoda flagship, and they've even released a completely undisguised interior photo revealing its simple and straightforward dashboard design.
The latest in a seemingly endless stream of teasers is a video that we found on Skoda Romania's FB page that teases the production body including the grille, side profile, headlamps and tail lamps. If you don't want to watch the video we've screen capped them for your viewing in the gallery below.
The new Superb will be built on the new MQB platform – just like its Passat stablemate – and will once again be aimed at the upper echelon of its class. In terms of powertrains, nothing solid has been confirmed but do expect the Superb to feature similar engines to the B8 Volkswagen Passat.
Despite sharing a platform, the Superb is expected to trump the Passat in terms of interior space. The third-gem Superb is said to feature a 80 mm advantage in terms of wheelbase length over its predecessor with the car being 20 mm longer, 50 mm wider and roughly 75 kg lighter than before.
The Superb was on sale in Malaysia for just over the RM200k mark when Berjaya's Skoda division was still active. It had a 160 PS, 250 Nm 1.8 litre TFSI engine paired to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission, and offered plenty of legroom in the rear quarters thanks to its extended wheelbase.
