Lexus has confirmed plans to preview a small city car in concept form at the upcoming 2015 Geneva Motor Show - think of a compact model to slot below the CT200h and you're not far off. While details remain scarce, an image of the Lexus LF-SA concept has been leaked on one of the firm's social media platforms.
While no direct connection has been mooted, those who can connect the dots will be able to speculate that the LF-SA will most likely serve as a preview of the impending compact car, which is touted to be based on the Toyota Yaris. A production version is likely to arrive in 2018 and will go up against the likes of the Audi A1.
The Japanese firm first revealed that it was "seriously considering" plans for a compact car at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. Alternative rumours have also suggested that the Lexus LF-SA concept could preview the marque's take on the Toyota iQ - echoing the Aston Martin Cygnet from 2011.
