Perodua launched a new accessories brand called GearUp at its Puchong outlet this afternoon. The GearUp range will start life with bodykits and interior accessories for the Axia. Perodua's latest model comes in two faces - Standard and SE - and both will have its own GearUp bodykit.
The GearUp bodykit for the Axia Standard includes a front grille and bumper kit, rear bumper kit, side skirts and rear spoiler. The cosmetic kit for the Axia SE and Advance has all of the above except for the rear spoiler, which already comes with the car.
Inside, Axia Standard buyers can upgrade to seat covers with a "diamond" quilted pattern (front and back) and door cards with grey double stitching. Gearing up the Axia SE and Advance adds on seat covers with a honeycomb pattern to match the sporty theme, and the door cards have red double stitching. Note that the material isn't leather.
The above-mentioned kit comes in three packages. Type A costs RM2,999 (save RM516) and gets one the Standard bodykit and interior, while Type B is just the Standard exterior add ons for RM2,200 (save RM375). Type C is for the Axia SE and Advance, exterior and interior for RM2,399 (save RM406).
There's also a Comfort Package for both variants, which consists of insulation material for the hood and all doors. The extra padding will cost you RM546.75.
The above are promotion prices valid from now till August 31, 2015. Those who spend RM500 and above will also get a GearUp reversible jacket for free. Labour charges and 6% GST are not included in the prices above. Perodua offers a six-month warranty.
"Customers can order the accessories for their Perodua and its cost can be included with the hire-purchase package. The cost added will have a minimal effect to the monthly payment amount," said P2 president and CEO Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh.
How about other Perodua models? GearUp products for the Myvi will be coming next month, and there are plans for the Alza as well.
