We cannot stress enough on the importance of buckling up whenever you enter a car - be it in the driver's seat or as a passenger. Time and time again, unfortunate reports surrounding road fatalities keep cropping up in our news feed and yet most individuals fail to realise that the simple act of using the seat belt can dramatically reduce the chances of one sustaining injuries or worse during a traffic accident.

So how exactly do you encourage friends and family members to buckle up every time you get into a car without sounding like a complete killjoy? You could, for example, get them to read up on news reports and articles, show them graphic crash test videos or even take them to safety-oriented roadshows. What you should not do, however, is jump on the brakes while the car is on the move.

Especially when one is fully aware that said passenger is not wearing his/her seat belt. In this quickie of a video, the driver films (which is another thing that one should not do while driving) his girlfriend as the vehicle is on the move only to jam the middle pedal without warning.

The result is dangerously hilarious as his (possibly, ex) girlfriend goes flying forward, crashing her head into the sun visor. Thankfully, the car appears to be traveling at a slow speed as she manages to recover instantly. She even calmly questions the driver's motive. So while one may find that funny, imagine the same scenario on repeat but with the car traveling at a much higher speed.

Not so funny now, right? Again, we have to remind all of you out there to always make it an effort to buckle up - that few seconds spent might actually save your life.
