Following spyshots of the new C 63 AMG coupe, Mercedes-AMG has released official photos of the two-door on Facebook, showing still images of it doing laps around the Hockenheimring in Germany. There has certainly been no lack of teasers, as the car has already had a brief introduction video, followed by bits and pieces of the car released earlier.
Aside from a straighter air dam, a slightly beefier bonnet and a rear spoiler round the back, not much else can be told about the upcoming two-door from Affalterbach, since it's still largely under wraps. What is known or can be said for sure, is that beneath the hood of the new C 63 Coupe is not the legendary naturally-aspirated 6.2 litre V8.
The coupe will be sporting a new 4.0 litre Biturbo V8 that's capable of 476 hp and 650 Nm, or a more powerful 510 hp and 700 Nm version - similar to the latest Mercedes-AMG C 63 sedan range. The difference is, this one's said to be significantly more sporty than the sedan.
The BMW M4 contender is slated for a premiere on August 19, but in that time, we reckon there's going to be many more teasers that will make its way out to keep us glued to our screens.
