The automaker from Hethel, England says that the Evora 400 will be getting a few updates somewhere towards the end of 2015. The two-door sports car, which has just rolled of production lines recently, will commence deliveries in August said Jean-Marc Gales, CEO of Lotus.

He outlined very briefly his plans to Dutch daily, De Telegraaf in a recent interview, where he mentioned the Evora (currently Lotus' fastest production car) will be updated to meet Euro 6 emission standards. Additionally, with a new roadster has been confirmed, a launch is expected to as early as 2016.

Down the road, the Lotus Exige and Elise will also be receiving updates by 2017, the CEO however remained tight-lipped as to what updates might be coming to both. As a reference, the special edition Exige S Club Racer weighs in at 1,161kg and the lighter Elise S Club Racer weighs a mere 914kg.

The Exige S currently has a Toyota-sourced 2GR-FE 3.5 litre VVT-i V6 that makes 345 hp and 400 Nm of torque, while the Elise S gets its power from a 2ZZ-GE 1.8 litre four-cylinder supercharged engine, that produces 217 hp and 250 Nm that is also sourced from Toyota. So it is likely that we could see some updates in either or all of these areas.

He also revealed that the very long-awaited Lotus crossover is slated to come to dealer showrooms by the year 2019. Previously, Jean-Marc Gales said that the world's first lightweight SUV dubbed the "real Lotus" will rival the Porsche Macan and will have a strong presence in China, the country where it will be built, to accommodate to the market's insatiable appetite for SUVs.
