The latest S550 Ford Mustang is said to have been reengineered for the European market. To push out that claim, the company has released a four-part video series, explaining how the Mustang has been exclusively enhanced to fit drivers in that part of the world.

Interestingly, the series shows the European-spec pony cruising along in various parts of the continent, noting that it has spent much time on the German autobahn and "tight" British country roads. Fittingly, the Euro version sits 30 mm lower to the ground compared to the American Mustang.

Another update that the Euro 'Stang gets, according to Joe Bakaj, Vice President of Product Development Ford Europe, is a reworked manual transmission "shiftability" that has been specially developed for Europe. Bakaj boldly claims that "it's the best-shifting Mustang ever built."

European Mustangs that sport the 5.0 litre Coyote V8 will come with lesser power though, making 421 PS and 530 Nm, compared to the US version's 435 hp and 542 Nm. The 2.3 litre EcoBoost version, meanwhile, gets 317 PS and 432 Nm of torque, a smidgen more than America's 310 hp and 434 Nm.

Standard equipment that come with Euro-spec Mustangs will include SYNC 2 voice control connectivity system, paired to an eight-inch touchscreen with navigation functions. The Euro pony will also have a launch control system for the taking.

The biggest takeaway from this series is that even though the Mustang has been reworked to fit the Europeans, at heart, it's still a Mustang nonetheless.
