Not content with switching faces on the 2016 Toyota Fortuner and 2016 Toyota Hilux to see how each would look with the other's front end, rendering wiz Theophilus Chin has decided to go further afield with the Fortuner - the SUV has now been reimagined in coupe form.
Gone is the beltline that kinks towards the rear, though the rear assembly's slim tail lights and line flow have been retained. The result is a profile that looks vaguely familiar, like you've seen it before, somewhere.

Despite it being fantasy, Theo says that these coupe renderings will annoy the hell out of many people. Does it annoy you, or do you think the shape hangs together quite well?
Unveiled in Thailand last week, the second-generation Hilux-based seven-seater SUV has been totally redesigned with a sleek new look and a more premium-looking interior. New engines too, with the two turbodiesels from the eight-gen Hilux finding their way on here.
